EDGE Networking is a business networking group for young professionals that combines social interactions and business growth. EDGE aims to create an inclusive, diverse and safe space for members to ask questions, learn about other professions and refer business to people they trust.
We Need A Strategy
EDGE Networking came to us in search of some guidance on how to best utilize social media for business growth. During the Strategy Sprint, we identified 3 main challenges:
- EDGE struggled to establish their brand on social media because although they had a business name, logo, a niche target audience and general brand colors, they lacked a brand identity, content strategy, messaging, and value proposition.
- EDGE was generating zero customer acquisition through social media even though they were posting frequently.
- Edge had no time to expand the business because of they were inundated with the demand of marketing, social media management, and engagement.
Brand Positioning and Early Growth
After identifying the unique challenges EDGE faced for new online growth, while maintaining the strong referral business through word-of-mouth, we decided on 3 main marketing goals:
- Expand Reach: As a relatively new business with a small audience, more eyeballs on the brand was a priority.
- Improve Brand Positioning: Identify and establish value proposition to gain market leadership.
- Convert Members Through Social Media: Capture buyer attention and develop a plan to nurture through to a sale.
Strategy Sprint & The Onion Offer
We truly enjoyed working on this project with EDGE Networking because their decision makers were decisive and clear in their target audience, market research, and desired outcomes. Working with a client who has isolated a marketing challenge and is decisive on goals helps us measure what matters, identify exactly what worked, and how much impact it brings to the client.
- We were able to 7x their account engagement in just 90 days and even had a Reel go viral (though this is usually not a guarantee or expectation, it was certainly a fun surprise!)
- Created a framework for engagement/interactions, saving 10+ hours of communication time and management.
- Monetized social media, resulting in 10%+ added profits in 90 days.
